Another thing you could do as a flatshare on one of these cold December nights is curl up on the couch with a Just Eat order and watch a festive Christmas movie together!To save you all the arguments and hours spent scrolling through Netflix, Now TV and Amazon Prime, the Team at Rooms in Kent compiled a list of the top ten Christmas films to watch with your housemates.

The Grinch

Based on Dr. Seuss’s iconic wacky book, this 2000 film stars Jim Carrey as the Grinch, who tries to steal Christmas from the Who’s. However, the Grinch soon realises that Christmas isn’t all about materialistic things, with the film delving into the true meaning of the holiday, which is love, care, and sharing with those around you. Cute right?

The Muppet Christmas Carol

This Muppets-led remake of the classic Charles Dickens story is a strong contender for the list. Watch The Muppets dressed in Victorian attire and Kermit the Frog in a top hat as Bob Cratchit share this classic Christmas story.

Elf

Elf, starring Will Ferrell, is up next. This heartwarming comedy will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy on the inside, with the message, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is to sing loudly for all to hear!”

The Polar Express

Rooms in Kent has declared The Nightmare Before Christmas the seventh-best Christmas movie, putting an end to the debate over whether it is a Halloween or Christmas film. After leaving Halloween Town, Jack Skellington sets out to take over Christmas Town in this Tim Burton stop-motion animated film.

The Snowman
